A custodia matutina usque ad noctem, speret Israel in Domino.
Quia apud Dominum misericordia, et copiosa apud eum redemptio.
Et ipse redimet Israel ex omnibus iniquitatibus ejus.

Oremus
Fidelium Deus omnium Conditor et Redemptor, animabus famulorum famularumque tuarum remissionem cunctorum tribue peccatorum: ut indulgentiam, quam semper optaverunt, piis supplicationibus consequantur. Qui vivis et regnas in sæcula sæculorum. Amen.
Sequentem Orationem coram imagine Sanctæ Sindonis Domini Nostri Jesu Christi devote recitantibus concessii Clemens VIII Indulgentiam plenariam et liberationem animæ ex Purgatorio. Paulus vero V confirmavit.
℣. Requiem æternam dona eis, Domine.
℟. Et lux perpetua luceat eis.
℣. Requiescant in pace.
℟. Amen.

From the gate of hell,
Deliver their souls, O Lord
De profundis
Out of the depths I have cried to Thee, O Lord; Lord, hear my voice.
Let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
If Thou, O Lord, shalt mark iniquities; Lord, who shall stand?
For with Thee there is merciful forgiveness: and by reason of Thy law I have waited for Thee, O Lord.
My soul hath relied on His word; my soul hath hoped in the Lord.
From the morning watch even unto night, let Israel hope in the Lord.
Because with the Lord there is mercy, and with Him plentiful redemption.
And He shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
℣. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord.
℟. And let perpetual light shine upon them.
℣. May they rest in peace.
℟. Amen.
℣. O Lord! Hear my prayer.
℟. And let my cry come unto Thee.
Let us pray
O God, the Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful, grant unto the souls of Thy servants departed the remission of all their sins; that, by pious supplication, they may obtain that pardon which they have always desired. Grant this, O God, Who livest and reignest for ever and ever. Amen.
To the following prayer, which is to be recited in front of the image of the Holy Shroud of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Pope Clement VIII granted a plenary indulgence applicable to the liberation of a soul from purgatory. It was renewed by Pope Paul V.
O God, Who hast left us in the Holy Shroud, where Thy Most Holy Body was placed when taken down from the Cross and enwrapped by Joseph, as the traces of Thy Passion; mercifully grant that through Thy Death and Burial me may partake to the glory of the Resurrection. Who livest and reignest with God the Father, in the unity of the Holy Ghost God, world without end. Amen.
O almighty and everlasting God, Who for us wast worthy to be born of the Most Chaste Virgin, make us, we beseech Thee, serve Thee with a chaste body and please Thee with a humble mind.
We pray Thee, O Most Devout Virgin Mary, the Queen of the world and of the angels, that Thou wouldst obtain consolation for those who are tried in the fire of Purgatory, forgiveness for the sinners, the perseverance in goodness for the just, and that Thou wouldst defend us weaklings from pressing dangers. Through Christ our Lord.
℣. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord.
℟. And let perpetual light shine upon them.
℣. May they rest in peace.
℟. Amen.
