The vocation of an Oblate is both work in the parish and doing acts of reparation. They help the priests of St. Gertrude the Great by their work in the sacristy, by teaching in our school, and in any way their help is needed in the parish work, in the spirit of the Catholic Action.
I ask your support both in form of prayers for our Sisters and in the form of financial help. Life gets so busy nowadays, but I remind people that if you don’t have time or energy to pray a lot, make sure you pray at least a little. Similarly, if you don’t have resources to donate a lot, that is perfectly understandable. But in your charity, offer at least a little. Support for the Oblate Sisters is support to the priests too.
So in the words of the Sacred Scripture:
Two requests I would make of thee; be they mine while life lasts. Keep my thoughts ever far from treachery and lying; and for my state of life, be neither poverty mine nor riches. Grant me only the livelihood I need. (Proverbs 30:7-8)
